David Bergman is the author of four book of poetry including Cracking the Code, winner of the George Elliston Prize, and Fortunate Light. His work has appeared in Poetry, The Paris Review, The New Republic and many other journals. His latest book is a critical study, The Poetry of Disturbance.
Shirley J. Brewer graduated from careers in palm-reading, bartending and speech therapy. She serves as poet-in-residence at Carver Center for the Arts & Technology in Baltimore. Recent poems appear in Barrow Street, Poetry East, Slant, Gargoyle, Comstock Review and other journals. Shirley’s poetry chapbooks include A Little Breast Music and After Words. Forthcoming in 2017 will be her first full-length collection of poems, Bistro in Another Realm.
Kathy Mangan lives in Baltimore and teaches creative writing and American literature at McDaniel College, where she is Professor of English and holds the Joan Develin Coley Chair in Creative Expression and the Arts. Her books include a chapbook, Ragged Alphabet, and Above the Tree Line. Her poems have been published in Georgia Review, Gettysburg Review, Shenandoah, Ploughshares and Pushcart Prize, as well as many anthologies, including Boomer Girls: Poems by Women from the Baby Boom Generation and the Bedford Introduction to Literature.
Sarah Merrow was born in New England and lives in Baltimore, Maryland. Her chapbook Unpacking the China was the winner of the QuillsEdge Press 2015-2016 chapbook competition. Her poems have appeared in a number of journals, including Passager, Broad River Review, A Quiet Courage, and The Courtship of Winds, and she has published essays in The Flutist Quarterly, a trade magazine. In addition to writing poetry, she rebuilds and repairs concert flutes for professional flutists.
