From the author of Black Widow comes a heartfelt, utterly real new novel about returning home to Baltimore: Family and Other Calamities by Leslie Gray Streeter!

When entertainment journalist Dawn Roberts returns to Baltimore with her husband’s ashes, she can’t avoid the decades of backstabbing and treachery that haunt her experience of her hometown. With the surprising help of an up-and-coming journalist and a legendary R & B diva, Dawn will finally set the record straight. Returning home might just be the biggest story in Dawn’s life, a fresh start–and happy ending–she never expected.

For anyone reckoning with the past, anyone who’s ever needed a fresh start, anyone whose love for Baltimore is deep and layered… this novel is for you. And we’ll celebrate it, with the author in conversation with Meghan Riordan Jarvis, on the Ivy patio on June 24! We hope you’ll join us.
