By the Author:

Baltimore’s premier speculative fiction reading series!

Vivian Shaw wears way too many earrings and likes edged weapons and expensive ink. She is the author of the Dr. Greta Helsing urban fantasy series from Orbit Books: STRANGE PRACTICE (2017), DREADFUL COMPANY (2018) and GRAVE IMPORTANCE (2019). She has written for Tor.com, and her short fiction has appeared in Uncanny magazine and PseudoPod. She has a BA in art history, an MFA in creative writing and publishing arts, and has worked in scientific publishing and development while researching everything from the history of spaceflight to reactor design to mountaineering disasters to supernatural physiology. She is looking forward to expanding her freelance editing clientele, and in her spare time she draws, sews, makes jewelry, collects vintage cookbooks and fountain pens, and writes fanfiction (pen name: Coldhope). She is preparing to move to Santa Fe with her wife, the author Arkady Martine.

Cadwell Turnbull is the author of The Lesson. He has had short stories published in The Verge, LightspeedNightmare, and Asimov’s Science Fiction. Turnbull’s short story “Loneliness is in Your Blood” was selected for The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2018.  His novelette “Other Worlds and This One” was also selected as a notable story in the anthology. His short story “Jump” was selected for The Year’s Best Science Fiction and Fantasy 2019. He lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.

A.T. Greenblatt is a mechanical engineer by day and a writer by night. She lives in Philadelphia where she's known to frequently subject her friends to various cooking and home brewing experiments. She is a graduate of Viable Paradise XVI and Clarion West 2017. Her work has been nominated for a Nebula Award, has been in multiple Year's Best anthologies, and has appeared in Uncanny, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and Fireside, as well as other fine publications.
