Join acclaimed author, illustrator, and zoologist Jess Keating as she shares her book, Shark Lady, along with creative tips inspired by the world’s most fearless shark scientist! Participants will leave empowered with amazing facts about sharks, conservation, and the ocean — along with the tools to share their own stories and creativity with the world around them. A Q&A with Jess and a shark expert from the National Aquarium will follow the event.

This program is presented in partnership with the National Aquarium, as part of the March 2021 Read to Reef Book Club. Every March and October, Baltimore-area children in fifth grade and younger with a valid Enoch Pratt Free Library card may receive a Read to Reef bookmark and record the five aquatic- or conservation-themed books they have read that are appropriate for their age levels to earn four tickets to the National Aquarium.
