Rachel King is the author of the novel People Along the Sand and the linked short story collection Bratwurst Haven. Her short stories have appeared in One Story, North American Review, Green Mountains Review, Northwest Review, and elsewhere. A former bookseller at the Ivy, she currently lives and works in her hometown of Portland, Oregon.
Marian Crotty is the author of the short story collection, What Counts as Love, which was longlisted for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize and won the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. Her short stories have appeared in venues such as the Kenyon Review, the Southern Review, the Sun, and Best American Short Stories 2020. She is a contributing editor at The Common and an Associate Professor of Writing at Loyola University Maryland.
