The Enoch Pratt Free Library presents the latest installment in its Writers LIVE! series, an evening with Mecca Jamilah Sulllivan to celebrate the release of her debut novel Big Girl. The Ivy is delighted to serve as the bookseller for this event.

Big Girl tells the story of Malaya, a young Black woman on the cusp of adulthood in Harlem during the 1990s.

Mecca Jamilah Sullivan is the author of two prior books, which includes the short story collection Blue Talk and Love, winner of the 2018 Judith Markowitz Award for Emerging LGBTQ Writers. She is an associate professor of English at Georgetown University.
