Join us for our monthly reading series hosted by Baltimore author and former staff-writer for The Wire, Rafael Alvarez. This month, he will be joined by Tracey Levine, Gregg Wilhelm, and David Beaudouin.
Tracey Levine is a fiction writer and memoirist from Philadelphia. She is co-creator and co-host of the reading series The Hatchery and is also the director of undergraduate creative writing studies at Arcadia University. Her latest book is a novella entitled You Are What You Are, and she is currently at work on a long-form memoir.
Gregg Wilhelm is director of the BFA and MFA Programs in Creative Writing at George Mason University. He is founder and Director Emeritus of the literary arts nonprofit CityLit Project in Baltimore and is publisher of its CityLit Press imprint. Gregg earned his MFA in fiction from the University of Tampa.
David Beaudouin, native to Baltimore, is a widely published poet and performer. He is the founder of Tropos Press, Inc., one of the region’s most respected alternative literary presses, as well as The Pearl, a Baltimore journal of the literary and "spontaneous" arts. He served for more than a decade as a literary panelist for the Mayor's Committee on Arts and Culture and was instrumental in the creation of the Artscape Literary Arts Award.
