The latest middle grade book from critically acclaimed author Hena Khan (Amina's Voice) is inspired by the classic, Little Women, with a diverse twist. This modern look at an American family, at once familiar to many, tackles issues that many are struggling with in today's society—financial hardship, racism and healthcare issues. This is a novel that is full of empathy, and gets to the heart of modern day concerns that many children will relate to.
Hena Khan is a Pakistani-American Muslim who was born and raised in Maryland, and enjoys sharing and writing about her culture and religion. She has written several books, including Amina’s Voice, which was a Washington Post Best Children’s Book of 2017. Khan lives in her hometown of Rockville with her husband and two sons.
