Johns Hopkins 21st Cities Initiative Presents Rucker C. Johnson: Children of the Dream

Johns Hopkins University

Join us at Johns Hopkins University’s Mason Hall auditorium to hear Rucker C. Johnson discuss his new book Children of the Dream: Why School Integration Works.

In Children of the Dream, Rucker C Johnson, Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley,  utilizes a variety of data and longitudinal studies to show that, contrary to the popular narrative, school integration worked and benefited children of all racial backgrounds. At UC-Berkeley, he teaches courses in applied econometrics and topical courses in race, poverty, and inequality. A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk.

The 21st Century Cities Initiative (21CC) at Johns Hopkins University is the campus hub for research, education, engagement, and outreach related to expanding economic opportunity and improving quality of life for urbanites in developed and developing nations.
