Noon Concert Series at Mount Vernon: Prosopopoeia Baroque Ensemble

Join us at our Mount Vernon Pop Up for a noon concert series this December!

December 14 – If you missed Prosopopoeia’s first concert (or you were floored by their performance), you’re in luck! They will perform the same program again! – Prosopopoeia, a brand new Baroque ensemble of Peabody students, will present “La Lyre d’Apollon:” Greek Myth in the French Baroque. Pieces for soprano and ensemble will explore the vast treasury of French Baroque music that draws inspiration from Greek mythology. Experience the performance on period instruments including harpsichord, traverso, and viola da gamba.

Performers will grace your noon hour shopping experience with beautiful music during select days in December. Made up of entirely students and alumni of the Peabody Institute right across the street, these performances are sure to be special. Each performance is designed so that you are able to both browse the bookshop and listen at the same time – a true dream for any multitasker during the holiday season. Join us on your lunch break during the week, and bring your family on the weekend!
